Carrying the Cross of Christ into the Future

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY

Habitat for Humanity is an ecumenical Christian housing ministry that reaches out to families who need safe, decent and affordable housing. Habitat is a hand up rather a hand out to families who are unable to obtain housing through other conventional means. Habitat builds houses for no profit and finances them with an interest free loan. Family selection criteria is based on need, the ability to pay interest free mortgage and willingness to partner with Habitat. Each partnering family must complete 300 hours of sweat equity
before becoming homeowners. Our church is a Covenant Church with Habitat for Humanity of Polk County and supports this housing ministry with our prayers, volunteers and financial resources.

If you would like to get involved with this hands-on ministry, have a desire to meet new people, learn a new skill or exercise an old one, contact Willard Moody, 967-8837, wmoody@shawus.com.

You can give without loving.
But you cannot love without giving.
