Carrying the Cross of Christ into the Future

MANNAFEST

MannaFest is a multi-faceted ministry working to improve the quality of life for disadvantaged or emergency-need families in Polk County. The MannaFest food pantry provides monthly boxes of food to supplement assistance from the local Food Stamp Program.

Other services include a Thanksgiving Dinner, available to all in the community, including shut ins, who receive home delivery; a Birthday Book ministry for children pre-K through grade five; fall School Supplies for children pre-K through junior high; a Christmas Shopping Party, where children can select gifts for parents; scripture-based Puppet Shows; and assistance with wheelchair ramps and minor home repairs.

Several FUMC members work with those from other churches to help fill MannaFest’s volunteer staffing needs.
Our Faith-Promise dollars also help to support this work. For more information, or to become a volunteer, you may contact: Glenda Mapes, 327-9555, mannafest@livingston.net
