Music Ministry
Participation in any music group is open to anyone who wishes to make a commitment to excellence in worship leadership. The long history of fine music at First is due to a group of people who have made music a priority in their lives and exhibit that by regular attendance at rehearsals and worship services throughout the year.
ADULT GROUPS, WORSHIP AND REHEARSAL TIMES
Chancel Choir Leads worship at 11:00 AM Sunday traditional services
Rehearsal - 6:45 PM each Wednesday except during July
Praise Team Leads contemporary services at 9:00 AM Sunday
Rehearsal - 6:00 PM each Tuesday
Jacobs Ringers (advanced handbells) Play regularly once a month
Rehearsal - 5:15 PM each Wednesday during the school year
Ding-A-Ling Bells (intermediate handbells) Play 2 to 4 times yearly
Rehearsal - 11:00 AM each Wednesday during the school year
Silver Belles and Beaux (seniors handbells) Play twice yearly
Rehearsal - 9:15 AM each Wednesday during the school year
CHILDREN AND YOUTH GROUPS WORSHIP AND REHEARSAL TIMES
Jubilee Singers / Joyful Noise Sing once a month at 11:00AM services
Rehearsal 3:00 PM each Wednesday during the school year.
Age-appropriate choirs for children between first and 5th grades
The children enjoy learning music skills in both vocal and handbell practice.
Youth Singers Sing on "as needed" basis and assist with childrens choirs.
